Cassandra Gomez joined NELP in 2024 as a Senior Staff Attorney on the Work Quality team. In this role, Cassandra supports NELP’s Department of Labor Strategic Engagement Partnership to increase the recovery of stolen wages, foster safe and healthy workplaces, and improve workplace standards in high-violation industries.
Prior to joining NELP, Cassandra was a Senior Staff Attorney at A Better Balance (ABB), where she worked at the local, state, and federal levels to advance inclusive paid sick leave, paid family and medical leave, and emergency paid leave measures. She also led ABB’s family recognition work to ensure that workers can take time off of work to care for all of their closest loved ones, regardless of legal or biological relationship.
Cassandra is a proud member of the NELP Staff Association, NOLSW, UAW, LOCAL 2320.
