Eleanor Cooney

Biography

Eleanor joined NELP as Digital Communications Manager in August 2017. She has dedicated herself to working in Communications and Design for social justice and youth-serving Nonprofits for the past ten years, most recently with The Osborne Association in the Bronx as Communications Manager. In these roles, as with NELP, her work to support the production of publications, events, campaigns, and web products, is undertaken in the spirit of promoting equity.

Her previous decade of work experience in the Human Resources, Administration, Education, Customer Service, and Retail arenas, helped shape her appreciation for efficient processes and their stewards. As an innate creative, Eleanor brings along a love for play and whimsy to looking at what is possible. She continues an interest in collective leadership development, restorative practices, and tech for good.
