Josh Boxerman
Biography
Josh Boxerman joined NELP in 2023 and manages the civil rights portfolio on the government affairs team. Josh supports NELP’s work to foster just workplaces free from discrimination by building relationships with key stakeholders and engaging with congressional offices and administrative agencies. Josh works on key issues including occupational segregation, fair chance hiring, reentry for justice-impacted workers, and the effects of artificial intelligence in the workplace.
Prior to joining NELP, Josh led employment policy work at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, where he served on the organizing and bargaining committees for its staff union, Leadership Conference Workers United, OPEIU Local 2. He also served in the Obama-Biden White House and co-founded Rising Organizers, a DC-based nonprofit that trains everyday people in community organizing skills for free.
Josh is a proud member of the NELP Staff Association, NOLSW, UAW, LOCAL 2320.
