Mimi Goldberg

Legal Fellow

Biography

Mimi Goldberg is a Frank H.T. Rhodes Law Fellow in NELP’s Legal Task Force as of September 2024.

Mimi graduated from Cornell Law School the previous spring, having spent each semester of her legal education working, teaching, and volunteering in the school’s immigration and farmworker clinical programs. During her time in the clinics, Mimi represented many clients in successful asylum appeals, advance parole, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals cases. She also advocated to improve economic security for farmworker clients and strengthen language access for detained immigrants in Upstate New York and Louisiana.

While in law school, Mimi spent her summers working for Legal Aid Chicago and Make the Road New York. At both organizations, she advocated for immigrant workers in a variety of state and federal employment claims. Her current project at NELP was inspired by a particularly impactful summer experience assisting litigation for farmworkers sprayed by pesticides.

Mimi is a proud member of the NELP Staff Association, NOLSW, UAW, LOCAL 2320.
