Yona Rozen

Biography

Yona Rozen serves as the associate general counsel at the AFL-CIO. Yona Rozen was a founding shareholder in the Dallas, Texas, law firm of Gillespie, Rozen & Watsky P.C., a firm that is entirely devoted to labor and employment law. Throughout her career in private practice, she has represented various labor unions and individuals (since 1983) in all types of labor and employment matters. Previously, she worked for the NLRB (Region 3, Buffalo, NY and Division of Advice). She served as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Section 1991-92. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law, State Bar of Texas, is regularly listed in Best Lawyers in America, has been listed as a “Super Lawyer” each year since 2003, and is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. She has handled numerous jury trials and hundreds of labor arbitrations.
