Summary
On February 27, 2023, Yannet Lathrop testified before the Maryland House Economic Matters Committee in support of accelerating Maryland’s minimum wage to $15 under the Fair Wage Act of 2023. The support came with the recommendations to adjust Maryland’s minimum wage automatically on an annual basis to keep up with rising prices and gradually eliminate the tipped wage to put Maryland on a path to greater gender and racial equity.
