Summary
On April 7, 2023, Daniel Ocampo, Laura Padin, and Catherine Ruckelshaus testified before the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) in support of establishing a minimum pay standard for delivery workers in New York City. The DCWP proposed rule promises to finally guarantee these essential workers a minimum wage, a huge victory for the delivery workers across New York City—a victory made possible by the dedicated organizing and leadership of Los Deliveristas Unidos and other organized groups of delivery workers.
