In Support of Requiring Company Safety Violation Record Before Doing Business with Massachusetts

Summary

On November 13, 2017, Deborah Berkowitz testified before the Massachusetts Committee on Labor and Workforce Development in support of H.3633, which would require companies seeking to do business with the state, or seeking a trenching permit, to report their records of safety violations. This bill will help assure that the state is not subsidizing or supporting companies that operate with hazardous working conditions.
