On Immunity for Employers in Violation of Health and Safety Protections During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Summary

On May 12, 2020, Rebecca Dixon testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary against broad immunity for employers violating workers health and safety protections during the COVID-19 pandemic. Congress must help ensure workers are safe from needless risk of infection, rather than giving irresponsible employers a pass to put workers in harm’s way and how Congress instead should strengthen accountability for safe and healthy working conditions for workers.
